Florence Lake is a Trophy Northern Pike fishing dream come true. We limit the number of fisherman, which has allowed the lake to sustain a high number of trophy Northern Pike.
The average size pike is 30 inches. There are many 36 to 40 inch pike being caught by guests, which weigh in between 12 and 15 pounds. There has been bigger monster Northern Pike up in the 48-inch range and over 20+ pounds caught in this lake. This is due to the high population of Whitefish which is the main staple for the Northern Pike.
You also have access via portages to 5 other great fishing lakes. There are the 3 Chain Lakes to the southeast, which all have outstanding pike fishing. Canoes are waiting for you at the end of each portage. Mierke Lake, which has tons of pike if you enjoy catching lots of fish in the 30 inch size. Most people going to Mierke report a that a lot of their 30 inch have a lot of sign of bite marks, indicating large fish.Finally, there is a trail to Shoe Lake where a boat is waiting for you. Beautiful lake with the odd walleye being report caught along with the Northern Pike.
This lake is enjoyed by people how like to hike and sight see while venturing to the portage lakes. Have your camera ready you never know what you will see.
The cabin sleeps 4 to6 people and is situated on a beautiful 1 acre Island. The cabin is clean and fully equipped with refrigerator, stove, dishes and furniture.
