South Wabus Lake Remote Drive-in Outpost Camp
- South Wabas Lake remote drive-in outpost camp is located in a remote area of North Eastern Ontario. The only access to South Wabas Lake is via a logging road to the north end of Big Wabas Lake. From there you boat down Big Wabas Lake (approximately 3 miles ) to the south end of the lake to a short portage over to South Wabas Lake were boats and motors await you . From here you have a short 2 minute boat ride to your cabin.
This outpost camp is of the same quality as our other fly-in camps being that it's the only cabin on the lake. This cozy outpost cabin sleeps up to four people comfortably.You will enjoy total privacy, without the added cost of the fly-in. For those of you who have ATV's there are miles of old logging road to explore that also give access to many remote lakes.
All you need to bring is a sleeping bag, food and drink, bait and tackle and a change of clothes. We provide you with a fully equipped cabin, boat motor and gas per two people and one of our staff members to guide you to Big Wabas Lake to were boats and motors await you.
South Wabas Lake is a unique shaped lake with lots of bays and structure for big Walleye and Northern Pike. With depths up to 90' this ensures a large population of Whitefish, which are one of the main feeder fish. |

Big Wabas is just over three miles in length and has depths up to 120' with many bays, islands and shoals to explore. This is also an excellent lake for Walleye, Northern Pike and Lake Trout.
